Dance Artist, Choreographer, Researcher

Biography
Hannah Havrilla is a contemporary dance artist and choreographer interested in dance science. She is originally from Elkridge, Maryland and trained at Johns Hopkins Peabody Preparatory Dance in Baltimore, MD. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a Modern concentration and a Dance Medicine and Science (DMS) Certificate in Spring 2025. She has performed in faculty works at USF by Sadie Lehmker, Jeanne Travers, Bliss Kohlmeyer, and Merry Lynn Morris. Hannah serves as the President of the Student Dance Production Board and is responsible for organizing, fundraising, and producing a student-led concert in January. She is currently researching the benefits of somatic education in the dance technique classroom on a dancer’s body awareness for her DMS certificate. After graduation, Hannah hopes to dance professionally with a modern company in the DC area and continue to study dance medicine to become an athletic trainer.
